With the cannabis movement gaining momentum worldwide, there’s an urgent need to work together to build a responsible cannabis industry. Not satisfied with simply complying with local regulations, best-practice companies are setting the bar high. And through rigorous management practices and accountability, they’re doing their part to ensure the industry is socially sustainable for generations to come.
Established in 2018, the Global Cannabis Partnership (GCP) is an international initiative that focuses on the establishment of worldwide corporate social responsibility (CSR) standards related to the production, marketing/public education, sale, after-sales service and informed consumption of legal cannabis.
Today, we are raising the bar for higher standards and bringing all organizations within the cannabis ecosystem — from governments to growers — together under a single cause.
The Global Cannabis Partnership was founded by Revolution Strategy, a full-service communications agency in Canada, and is governed by a Board of Directors composed of Founding Member organizations. It incorporated as a non-for-profit in December 2018, and detailed By-laws will be approved by the Board and Founding Members in spring 2019.
The GCP team oversees the development and implementation of the Responsible Cannabis Framework and advances the collective social responsibility efforts of members with one unified voice.
